Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd began her journey into combat sports at the age of 14. She trained in boxing kickboxing wrestling and BJJ before making her first amateur appearance at 18 in WCFC against Jaimee Nievera. Ladd later went on to beat three times in a row at Ultimate Reno Combat. All her opponents had been defeated in the first five minutes. Ladd returned to WCFC and beat Leslie Rodriguez via unanimous decision. Aspen defeated Silvia Babaeghian as well as Maddy Simmons before fighting Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9. Cynthia defeated Aspen and defeated her in a unanimous decision, putting the mark of a loss on Aspen's record as an amateur. Ladd recovered from the defeat, and won Roma Pawelek at Tuff-N-Uff to increase her record to 8-1. Aspen was a professional when she entered the ranks in 2015. Aspen signed with Invicta FC and made her debut. InvictaFC 11 was her very first professional fight. She dominated Ana Carolina Vidal, securing an 1st round TKO. Invicta 16 also saw Aspen rise into the Bantamweight division after winning her fight with Amanda Cooper by armbar in the second round. Aspen used superior wrestling to beat McGill in the third round of a TKO. Aspen was then able to face Jessica Hoy for Invicta FC18 with a weight that was 138.1lb. Ladd was not capable of achieving the weight however Aspen won and beat Hoy with a TKO. Invicta FC 21, she was victorious in her last fight for the promotion by unanimous decision. Aspen Ladd made her UFC debut in UFC Fight Night 118 against Lina Lansberg. She outclassed Lina through ground-and-pound and won the TKO round later in the 2nd. She remained dominant and picked up another victory over Tonya Avinger at UFC 229 with her next fight. Ladd took over Evinger's fight following the opening round. Also, she was awarded an extra bonus for her performance that evening. Invicta FC's Sijara Ebanks was her opponent for a rematch at UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against Lee. It was the fighter's first big fight. The two fighters had an intense fight which Ladd was victorious by a majority decision. The two fighters each received the Fight of the Night Bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie was able to finish the fight in just 16 seconds and finish Ladd and her winning streak. After a short break after which she went on to beat Yana Kunizkaya during the UFC's ESPN 7 third-round fight. In a last-minute substitute to her UFC match, she faced Norma Dumont during UFC Fight Night 195. Her defeat was decided by majority decision.
